The TED Partnerships team is responsible for developing and executing strategic partnerships that fund operations to further TED’s nonprofit mission. We leverage our custom events, digital platforms, and renowned format to create unique and mutually beneficial partnerships with organizations around the world.

Job Summary

The Partnership Associate plays an integral role on the development team, working hand-in-hand to develop and execute successful partnerships with their respective partnership managers. The partnership associate also oversees and manages digital campaigns in collaboration with the media team and acts as a conduit between the creative services team, media team and development team when necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

Development Support

• Support Partner Manager in conversations with prospective partners to learn and interpret client objectives for client/agency strategies
• Prospect and research industry trends (Media Radar)
• Assist Partner Manager in development of proposals and presentations for client/agency meetings
• Maintain in-depth understanding of our product offerings and inventory
• Collaborate with development and creative services team to create compelling partnership concepts, programs and media plans to meet client KPIs

Digital Campaign Management

• Work with Media Associate + Ad Trafficking/Operations team on inventory availability, pricing, and reallocations to ensure digital campaigns are set up accurately
• Responsible for developing pre-sale RFP materials: media plans, agency spreadsheets, materials for RFPs)
• Manage all post-campaign responsibilities – ensuring delivery and reconciliation, developing recaps of campaigns with recommendations for future renewal campaigns
• Partner with internal Ad Operations team on all aspects of the campaign launch to execution while managing and interfacing with the client to manage expectations
• Continuously monitor campaign delivery and performance; collaborating with the TED Digital team to troubleshoot and optimize campaigns

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, “all hands-on deck” environment
• Would be able to start work at the NYC headquarters as early as January 2019
• Has an exceptional work ethic, is hungry and proactive to jump in when needed
• Operates with a high level of urgency and personal responsibility for meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects
• An engaged and strategic listener
• Is excited and passionate about the digital media environment and digital advertising strategy

Requirements

• Strong computer applications skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, G Suite, Dropbox)
• 1-2 years working within a Digital media company
• Familiarity and understanding of digital advertising industry landscape, benchmarks, KPIs
• Must have digital experience with an understanding of video, display and social products and sales marketplace
• BA/BS College degree required
