Playfly Sports is looking for an Account Specialist, Partnership Development to join our team in New York.
The Account Specialist, Partnership Development is directly tasked with leading the sales support of the Professional Development (PD) team across all departmental functions. This role is responsible for prospecting and stewardship of current and new client-direct partnerships and assisting with the development and communication of Playfly portfolio sales initiatives across the broader company. The Account Specialist will be expected to utilize the latest prospecting tools, research data, market and media knowledge to support each PD salesperson in generating revenue from new, traditional and non-traditional sources.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Other job-related duties as assigned
- Assemble and provide effective prospecting, targeting and sales prep research for all prospective and current clients, inclusive of internal opportunity analysis across the portfolio
- Work with business leaders and PD manager to identify and develop cohesive marketing strategies/opportunities and supporting sales materials
- Train, develop and mentor PD coordinators, temporary employees and interns
- Identify current media partners to target for strategic MMR opportunities
- Manage internal tracking for PD team to ensure proper coverage of accounts and distribution of account information
- Track brand objectives and contribute to sales strategy development
- Organize data sets into a consumable format for presentations to executive leadership.
- Manage departmental processes, including but not limited to: budget tracking, quarterly reporting, etc.
- Remain current on all relevant sports, category, and account-specific issues and trends
- Provide and maintain background and research on key categories across the advertising and marketing industry and current client roster and portfolio
- Work with Creative department and PD manager to streamline team-by-team assets on active Multi Media Rights proposals
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Familiar with sales promotion processes and the ability to work with marketing departments on design and implementation
- 2-4 years of experience in sales administration or sports marketing required
- Understanding of the market conditions, research, lead generation, sponsorship development and advertising landscape is preferred
- Collaborative and problem-solving nature preferred
- Must have excellent computer skills, be proficient in Microsoft Suite, and possess strong data entry skills
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively and possess strong organizational skills
TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Primarily works in a quiet professional office environment
- Minimal travel may be required from time to time
COMPENSATION
The pay range for this role is $65,000 to $72,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
