Job Description
The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.
LA28, the organizers for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, is on a mission to create an unparalleled Games experience for athletes, fans, partners, our community and our people. The 2028 Olympics and Paralympics will represent LA and leverage the strength of our community’s diversity and creativity as we collectively work to design a Games that we all want to be a part of. We do this by focusing on people and by inviting everyone into the story of the LA28 Games.

United States Olympic and Paralympic Properties (USOPP) is a commercial joint venture between the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2028 (LA 2028) and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC). The USOPP is the sole entity charged with marketing and selling combined commercial assets, including; rights to the 2022, 2024, 2026 and 2028 U.S Olympic and Paralympic Teams and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
Associate, Partnership Marketing:
The Partnership Marketing Associate will support the day-to-day engagement with our Partners across the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movements. Additionally, they will be responsible for working closely with the PM team to help design and drive marketing strategies and initiatives that further the business goals of our Partner Family. The ideal candidate will have some prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The incumbent must be organized and adept at multitasking; able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines. Working in our New York office, they’ll collaborate with our sales, communications, athlete, social impact, creative strategy and design teams to help drive the overall success of Team USA and the LA28 Games.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create presentations, tracking documents and other work product as needed
  • Maintain a directory and inventory of PM materials (both hard and soft), ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
  • Handle additional administrative functions as needed
  • Support team with partner creative and approvals via Track system
  • Facilitate ongoing client engagement through meetings, conference calls, and written correspondence
  • Liaise with key colleagues/functional units at IOC, IPC, USOPC, and NGBs
  • Design and deliver project management plans, under the direction of Commercial Partnerships Leadership
  • Partnering with the functional area experts within the organizing committee (e.g. Games Operations, Impact, Finance, IT, HR, etc.) to get a deep understanding of budgets and operational needs
  • Help ensure all Commercial partnership efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, and support all improvements for processes and tracking to KPIs
  • Supporting the analysis of business back, value in kind, and/or supply rights opportunities for sponsorship categories and specific brands that are interested in becoming domestic partners
  • Continually seek and research pertinent information/news/data relative to LA28/USOPP commercial partners
  • Oversee the administration of contractual assets and offerings to the assigned Partners in your portfolio, coordinating with partners and internal departments to properly plan and deliver
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success
  • Aid in the planning and management of meetings, events, conferences, etc. by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements
Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization
  • Strong cross-functional skills, and a capacity for creativity/innovation
  • Possess personal drive to start a project and see it through to completion
  • Excellent presentation preparation skills and ability to work successfully with varied audiences (colleagues, business partners, collaborators, customers, and senior members of the organization)
  • Strong operational and program execution skills required
  • Previous work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role

  • 2+ years of experience in sports business or related marketing environment

  • Clear communicator with attention to detail
  • Self-directed/self-starter individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and first-hand experience within the sports marketing industry
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in sports marketing, marketing, advertising, communications or related field of study
The annual base salary range for this position is $68,000.00 - $78,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
LA28 and USOPP do not provide relocation assistance.
