Job Description
Job Summary: Manages home care operations, recruiting, customer service caregiver management and scheduling.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
  • Eighteen years of age or older. Should be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • High school diploma - Associate or Bachelor's degree strongly recommended
  • At least three years’ experience in administrative capacities and at least one year management/scheduling experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, co-workers and all supervisors.
  • Extensive experience in the home care field may be considered in lieu of other experience
  • Compliance with the Agency’s bonding criteria
Duties/Essential Functions:
  • Answers phones with a friendly attitude, check email and phone messages on a routine basis
  • Enters notes in HM5 regarding updates on clients and caregivers, documents all phone calls and visits
  • Strategizes on new sources for caregiver hiring
  • Ensures hiring goals are met on a weekly basis
  • Implements/maintains caregiver recognition and rewards program
  • Performs quality assurance calls and visits per schedule
  • Conducts supervisory visits and utilizes HM5 to determine when visits need to occur
  • Ensures consistent schedules are maintained for clients
  • Customer service
  • Manage scheduling
  • Implements/maintains caregiver discipline program
  • Tracks intake conversion rates
  • Ensures overtime is limited to emergency situations, keeps caregivers to a 40 hour work week
  • Manage recruiting
  • Demonstrates excellent service recovery technique
  • Ensures HealthManager5 (HM5, ComForCare tool) is consistently up to date
  • Caregiver management
  • Meets all new hires during orientation or before
  • Manages and participates in on-call duties
  • Manages intake calls – ensures follow up with potential clients is done on a regular basis
  • Manages unemployment and workers’ compensation claims
  • Conducts regular training for caregivers, including client specific training, DementiaWise® training, etc
  • Implements Meaningful Activities with clients in conjunction with the RN
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Creates and distributes caregiver newsletter on a monthly basis
  • Provides client care oversight in conjunction with the registered nurse (RN) and suggests when clients may need additional hours
  • Performs caregiver yearly evaluations
