This is NOT a Medical Assistant Position.
Busy medical office is seeking a highly motivated, independent medical receptionist to help run orthopedic practice. This position will assist with answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and securing prior authorizations along with general office support. Applicant should be very organized, able to multitask and be a self-starter. Medical office experience with EPIC EMR software and bilingual is preferred.
Duties for the position are:
- Answers telephones and provides information or refers calls to appropriate personnel.
- Secures Prior Authorizations as needed.
- Verifies insurance prior to appointments.
- General office duties
- Greets and checks in patients.
- Schedules Appointments

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education: High School or equivalent Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
- Minimum Experience: 1 Year
- Preferred Education: Specialized/Technical Training
- Minimum Field of Expertise: General office experience
SKILLS:
- Ability to operate varied office equipment.
- Data entry
- Coordinate the work of others.
- Schedule appointments
- Basic mathematical skills
- Prioritize multiple tasks.
- Typing
- Maintain filing systems.
- Telephone etiquette
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Communicate with others to gather information.

- Applicant needs to have computer skills and the ability and desire to learn in a fast-paced medication office.

Compensation based on experience.
Full Time - 32+ hrs/week
Pay Scale/Ranges:
$15.50/hour to $41.50/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*
