Summary of Job

The Production Planner is responsible for all new released to production materials. Duties include construction of bill of materials, routings, new material creation, production versions, MRP master data and new product launches. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the manufacturing industry, proficiency utilizing SAP or similar ERP system, and possess a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Any other improvement projects as outlined by Plant Manager, Production Manager, or Production Supervisor
• Independently makes changes to existing Bills of Materials in accordance with current EC Processes, while ensuring that EC changes are handed off to the buyers and production leadership team.
• Will help develop, deploy, and train current employees on newly built processes for the Planning Department
• Ensures that all contact administration procedures are followed and executed in an accurate and professional manner.
• Attends meetings and completes safety trainings as required.

• Adheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
• Establishes and validates routing times in SAP for manufactured products.
• Support, demonstrate and promote Pregis’ core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus and innovation.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Determine allocation of new materials to correct work centers.
• Leads the verification of new materials and manage the process with various functions.
• Project manage SAP integration of new product launches to ensure that new product launches are completed on time directing purchasing and engineering to ensure success.
• Fully constructions new Bills of Materials and deploys in SAP in coordination with Engineering.

• Prior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of purchasing & planning experience or related field required.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
• SAP experience required.

Compensation

• The pay range for this position is $24/hr. to $26.49/hr. The Company offers paid vacation time, paid sick leave, medical, dental and vision as well as a 401 (k) with employer match.
