Slingshot is seeking a creative, passionate, self-driven individual with an insatiable and authentic instinct
to connect people to each other and to awesome experiences. Slingshot’s Network Weaver will bring that passion for connecting people to grow our community, develop our network, and bring new young, Jewish Philanthropists into Slingshot’s work of Philanthropic Leadership Development.
As the Network Weaver you will be the lead staff responsible for developing engaging and creative opportunities to nurture and strengthen the Slingshot network of young, Jewish philanthropists. You will also be responsible for recruiting participants for all of Slingshot programming.
You will be an integral part of our small but mighty team, responsible for nurturing and expanding Slingshot’s network. This position is an opportunity for you to play a significant role with a growing organization. Working for Slingshot is the best experience you can have managing relationships with funders, public speaking, working on multiple exciting projects at once all while learning about Jewish philanthropy in North America and supporting the leadership development of young, Jewish Philanthropists
About the Role
- Work with the Chief Program Officer to align our programs with the needs and interests of our constituents
- Maintain relationships with organizational partners
- Work in tandem with the Chief Executive Officer to cultivate and steward donors
- Develop, manage and lead recruitment, alumni, and community building events and embraces them as a tool for Network Weaving
- Identify trends, areas of interest, and community building opportunities within the Slingshot community
- Create and execute comprehensive recruitment strategy for all Slingshot programs
- Oversee marketing and communications efforts, seeing this as a tool for implementing their work. This includes managing social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) and supporting ongoing maintenance and upkeep of Slingshotfund. org. (No coding or technical skills required.)
- Develop relationships nationally with a wide range of young, Jewish philanthropists using virtual and in-person techniques
