Jefferson’s Ferry, a premier life care community is expanding! This exciting redevelopment is planned for the heart of the existing campus. We currently have an outstanding leadership opportunity for a Controller. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a team of three people with primary responsibilities for financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivables and payroll. You will also assist with annual budget preparation, lead the annual financial audit, develop financial reports, manage cost reporting and other regulatory reporting.

We require

• Leadership skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience preferably in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
• Experience withMatrixCare or other automated accounting systems a plus.
• BA/BS in business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA and Health Care experience preferred.
• Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines is vital.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the appropriate skills for communicating with all ages, including the geriatric population.
• Experience supervising or processing payroll and working with payroll systems (Paypro, ADP, etc.).
• Experience working in a financial department in a health care organization preferred.
