Manager, Product Management - Disney Photo Imaging

Walt Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products (DPEP), a division of the Walt Disney Company, creates world-class immersive digital experiences for Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Shanghai Disney Resort, Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club. DPEP is responsible for the end-to-end Guest experience for all digital-led initiatives globally, across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:
Based in Orlando, FL and reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Management, this position will be part of the Digital Guest Experience team focused on Disney Photo Imaging. This team is responsible for digital and business product strategy, digital concept development, Photo Imaging experience concept development and defining/executing these initiatives in collaboration with our vital team members and partners. This position will work across various product lines, business units, and interdisciplinary leaders in such areas as technology, project management, operations, UX design, experience design, analytics, marketing and executive teams to bring products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Disney Photo Imaging. The ideal candidate will have both a deep understanding of product management with respect to mobile & web technology, native application development, backend services, development as well as the ability to manage the design and development pipeline and team priorities across multiple teams/disciplines against a prioritized roadmap.

The Manager, Product Management needs knowledge of the core imaging business and platform, imaging products and experiences, financial returns, value drivers and fiscal management of large-scale sophisticated product lines/vertical and/or projects.

• Serves as business subject matter expert for partners on functional platform capabilities, product requirements and scope management
• Negotiates and facilitates third party contract development, managing long term relations
• Proactively identifies and resolves (or escalates) blockers, issues and change in business strategic direction that could impair team’s ability to meet strategic launch dates or impact scope/budget
• Accountable for setting and prioritizing urgencies for cross-functional teams while communicating ongoing statuses, addressing priority conflicts, and removing any blockers
• Instrumental in helping define the product vision and strategy based on multiple inputs from cross-functional teams
• Builds positive relationships with and leads large and diverse groups of stakeholders at multiple levels, from end users to executives, across the enterprise
• Responsible for managing a team of Product Managers including assessing, coaching, and motivating them in their deliverables and career goals.
• Ensures appropriate review and approval of essential deliverables with DPEP teams, executive leaders and partners as appropriate
• Provides partners with a consistent point of contact and accountability for their product and business needs
• Uses critical thinking to get to the root of product issues, executive questions, etc. and is able to provide a strategic analysis and recommendation in a clear and concise manner
• Translates product concepts into user stories, epics, requirement documents, test cases and acceptance criteria as appropriate and owns their quality
• Provides guidance for timely, on-budget, on-strategy delivery of marketing- and operations-related projects
• Uses expertise to provide relevant and strategic solutions to support business objectives
• Develops product go-to-market plans in partnership with Marketing and PA teams

Basic Qualifications:

• Shown analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases
• Experience with delivering machine learning and computer vision products a plus
• Outstanding l verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including an ability to communicate/influence at an executive level
• Effectively provide overall leadership across multiple teams, while working collaboratively to delivery with quality on time
• Prior front and back-end development experience a plus
• 10+ years of professional experience with at least 8 years working in the online industry
• Experience with technical, user and business issues in a fast-paced organization
• Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action with a willingness to take personal initiative
