Position Summary:
The Product Manager will be responsible for supporting the Imaging, Navigation, Robotics (INR) Product Development team with a wide range of project management, product management, and marketing activities. This position will also be focused on surgical robotic technology and be the primary liaison between product development engineering groups, sales personnel, and surgeon customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong self-starting ability to independently manage multiple projects to ensure the timely completion of product development responsibilities.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop user manuals, product literature, brochures, and all sales support and training information
- Develop strong relationships with the field and understands their unmet needs
- Perform and maintain market analysis by each product segment to identify new product offerings and line extensions to ensure Globus has the best product offering in the industry
- Forecast and manage inventory for all projects/products
- Partner with purchasing and operations departments to source products through the Globus supply chain
- Obtain market feedback from spine surgeons and other customers to determine functional and design specifications for new product development
- Create and manage project plans for each project in conjunction with the engineering lead
- Execute strategy for continuous growth through internal and external education strategies, as well as surgeon engagement campaigns
- Ensure timely and high-quality documentation of DHFs, DMRs, and DHRs for each project in the group according to Globus quality policy and all FDA and other regulatory bodies
- Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Representing the company in a professional manner and upholding the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus
- Coordinate and drive project activities including kick-off meetings, market research and customer discovery activities, verification/validation activities and labs, commercialization planning, and product training
- Create strategies to drive surgeon and hospital awareness and to empower the sales force and executes these strategies with excellence.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- Imaging experience preferred
- Ability to travel up to 15-20% of the time
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Ability to attend labs/surgeries
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and team player capable of working in a deadline-driven environment
- 3+ years of experience in medical device or related field in Product Development and/or Marketing in a fast-paced environment; Experience in medical robotics preferred
