Job Description
The Sr. Manager of Project Management is a critical role in the Professional Services organization. Its responsibilities are to align Red River’s project management people and processes with the needs of our customers and to apply industry best practices to project delivery. The Sr. Manager, PM will be responsible for the management, mentoring, and development of the project management team. This individualwill ensure projects delivered for the three Red River business units are timely, accurate and executed with exceptional delivery of services. Additionally, the Sr. Manager, PM will work closely with the Professional Services engineering team as well as other technical staff to support Red River’s customers.
Primary Position Tasks:
  • Other business duties as assigned
  • Recruit, train, and retain project managers across all corporate locations
  • Work with Sr. Director of Service Operations on strategy and planning
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery Operations to ensure consistent and effective delivery of services
  • Support and help define Red River’s solution development go-to-market strategy
  • Ensure industry standards and Red River best practices are met in all deployment projects and quality control processes are in place
  • Collaborate and align PSO practices with the Technical Services division
  • Maintain industry certifications as required
  • Lead and manage all project managers in the Professional Services division
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
  • IT industry knowledge and knowledge of Cisco, EMC, NetApp, VMware and other major OEM’s preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in leading technical Project Management teams and their development required
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
  • Lean and/or Agile experience
  • PMP or equivalent
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service and management focus
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proven leadership skills
Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used):
This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
Special Requirements:
This candidate will operate from a Red River office or remotely, with regular travel to corporate offices, customer and partner sites as needed. Likely up to 30% travel.
