Responsibilities
Summary:
The Manager Enterprise Program Management serves as the primary interface between the Enterprise ProgramManagement Organization (EPMO) and Business Unit leaders under the direction of theIntegration and Delivery leader and in collaboration with the Strategic planning team.
This role requires significant interaction with peers, project/program managers, business leaders and executives to achieve these objectives and the resulting projects related to processes, systems, and services for the enterprise. The programs and projects executed under this structure are typically high risk, complex, multi-year, multi-project, cross departmental / divisional, and involve multiple technologies, multiple vendors, and multiple business units. This position will require consistent communication with BU leaders and their teams to monitor project portfolio execution and to maintain a prioritized backlog of future work in furtherance of the corporate strategy.
Responsibilities:
Establish role as a trusted leadership resource to the functional leader to drive project monitoring, completion, and results. Act as a highly visible partner across the BU to influence strategic decision-making as well as project and program delivery.
Build and maintain key partnerships across the organization to drive transparency across teams and a successful outcome of each project.
Serve as project backlog manager for each functional leader and work with their leadership team to execute Strategic initiatives. Create and maintain a high-level multi-year plan of how to execute toward those strategies which includes a backlog of future projects. Partner with the EPMO leader to develop a project roadmap for each function.
Manage a program level plan that incorporates not only the overall project plan for those projects that are owned by your BU, but also to manage/report/direct your BU’s work on projects owned by others for which your BU provides support or resources. This will involve cross functional coordination and communication.
Work with assigned Project Managers and Business Analysts for specific projects as needed or serve in a project manager role directly to create, optimize, and drive structured schedules and project plans across multiple initiatives, projects, and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve program objectives. Modify schedules and plans based on changing data and conditions. Assist in planning and ensuring that projects track to resource allocations and budget constraints. Assist in adherence to quality and other relevant standards including processes as directed by the EPMO.
Assist the functional leader in the application of project governance and interaction with the EPMO process including prioritization, approvals, resource allocations, timelines, and schedules.
Efficiently, effectively, and appropriately establish and manage expectations with project teams through verbal and written communication. Demonstrate the ability to effectively listen and comprehend the needs of the project teams and take appropriate action to meet them.
Support maintenance and enhancement of project artifact documentation templates including intake documentation, charter (including schedule, budget, tasks, resources, goals, and outcomes), change requests, risks, issues, and project closure/evaluation as a contributor to the EPMO team.
Support active monitoring of scope, budget, schedule, dependencies and progress toward project goals and outcomes and facilitate communication of such to the BU leader by project managers or others as necessary. Monitor and assist project owners in consistent reporting of project status to drive accountability and transparency.
Participate in the review of all projects at conclusion with project owners relevant to your supported function. Assist in tracking project goals and outcomes as necessary and help compile any measurements to be made to facilitate demonstration of achievement of goals and outcomes. Capture any relevant EPMO process improvements as a contributor to the EPMO team.
Assist in training project owners, project managers, or others on the EPMO process and tools. Interact with project managers as well as project owners to ensure project charters, tasks, timelines, and resources are designed and documented to achieve objectives. Ensure that best practices for project management are utilized to drive execution.
Serve as an escalation point and advisory point for any assigned Project Managers working on initiatives associated with your supported function. Encourage and facilitate tracking of issues and assist in guiding issues to resolution.
Help maintain the systems and processes necessary to facilitate the achievement of the EPMO objectives and contribute enhancements as a member of the EPMO team.
Contribute to the evolution of the project governance and execution of the organization by maturing the EPMO process. Act as a representative of the EPMO team in the organization to champion the process and governance framework.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience required:
5+ years of relevant business leadership experience required. 10+ years of experience preferred in all phases of project management, including 5+ years leading delivery of complex projects or organizational change programs
