What you'll do

Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.
- Develop reports and present to executives (Managing Director and above)
- Research issues / questions as they arise and works with (third-party) consultants and benefits providers to provide resolutions or recommendations for handling matters that relate to employee benefits, payroll deductions, or vendor interface issues.
- Ensure plans are administered in accordance with plan, IRS, and ERISA rules
- Manage an internal team of professional analysts processing benefits accounting invoices
- Serve as a liaison between HR, Legal, Audit, Finance & Accounting for Benefits matters
- Ensure compliance including government filings and required participant disclosures (i.e., Form 5500’s, Annual Funding Notice, PBGC, proxy circular, SARs, SPDs).
- Lead an internal team and external vendors in actuarial valuation administration activities.
- Develop strong working relationships within the Benefits team and with HR Directors, cross-functional teams, and external vendors
- Perform financial analysis and reporting in response to standard, ongoing business requirements (Medical and Pharmacy Savings, Accounting Invoices, Benefits P&L) as well as in response to ad hoc needs.

Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
- MS Office – Particularly Excel
- 8 Years of Accounting, or Finance experience
- 5 years of management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
- Benefits experience
- Experience working in Unionized Environment
- Knowledge of ERISA Laws
- Previous compliance filing experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Able to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously (superior organization and planning skills)
- Demonstrated financial analysis skills with ability to complete cost-benefit analysis and develop recommendations from the analysis
- Manage multiple teams with different workstreams
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
