Controls And Automation Engineer

SUMMARY:

A Controls and Automation Engineer supports and enhances manufacturing operations though identification, planning and implementing of opportunities to automate manufacturing, and data collection processes. Utilizes control specific software to develop and maintain systems that operate and monitor plant processes. Works closely with other disciplines to assist in the development of an annual capital plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a basic knowledge of all aspects of process automation, manufacturing principles, quality control and customer service.
• Associates / Bachelor of Science Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in process automation work required
• Previous industrial robotics experience required.
• An understanding of communication networking preferred
• Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred
• Electrical drafting experience is required
• CAD experience preferred

DUTIES

• Provide technical support during the installation, startup, operation, and maintenance of the equipment.
• Assist in the development of automated process to include logical programming, and adjustment of control devices.
• Assist department in the procurement of bids and proposals for the enhancing of operations through automated processes.
• Develop operational narratives, logical flow diagrams, and scope of supply documentation delivered to suppliers.
• Involvement with the specification of equipment required for automation and control of processing material.

SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

• Preferred - Ignition for Inductive Automation
• Required - Rockwell Automation Factory Talk Studio, Microsoft Office,

PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES

• Required - Ladder, Function Block, Statement List, SCL
• Preferred - Python, HTML, SQL
