Your Direct Responsibilities

• Coordinate the conceptualization and execution of all areas within the thumbnail process
• Utilize photoshop and photo manipulation mastery in order to create realistic composites
• Generate unique and creative ideas for thumbnails that will drive the YouTube audience to click on our videos
• Coordinate with designers to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met
• Coordinate with the team on how to capture the best assets possible. This includes everything from framing, facial expressions, content of the photos, custom sets being coordinated/built by set design team, and anything else regarding the creation of thumbnail assets
• Create art including: avatars and characters, high quality custom text work, icons, etc.
• Utilize analytics and other data points to ensure optimal performance and interest for all thumbnails
• Stay up to date with current trends/best practices within the thumbnail space

Requirements

• Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment across multiple platforms
• Rockstar interpersonal skills to ensure the ability to collaborate with varied levels of management, peers, and talent across varying teams
• 3+ years of experience creating YouTube thumbnails
• Knowledge and ability to operate basic camera equipment, lighting, and technology
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment creatively and effectively

TBNR’s targeted total compensation rate for a full-time Lead Thumbnail Designer position based in Dallas, Texas is between $60,000 and $90,000, which depends on experience, expertise, internal equity within the organization, location, and alignment with market data.
