Our Company
Starforge Systems has built around the core idea of making products that set a new standard in computer gaming. We were founded by a team of industry veterans alongside a group of content creators in August 2022. We set out to change the standard for customer service, build quality, and cable management in the industry, while still making sure our computers were affordable and accessible.
About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic part-time UI/UX designer who will be responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of our website. You will ensure that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the marketing team, and internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user
  • Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
  • Investigate UX design requirements for our website
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
  • Design UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets
  • Working alongside the marketing and development teams, develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand
  • Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior
  • Test UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages
  • Adhere to style standards on typography and graphic design
Requirements
  • Custom Shopify theming experience
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in close collaboration with developers
  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years UI/UX design experience for products
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems, CSS animations, Adobe XD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience working in close collaboration with developers
  • A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms
