- Partner directly with Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product officer to develop People strategies supporting R&D’s culture and KPIs
- Interpret and implement People Team policies, and advocate for your function in the development of new practices
- Drive strategic People initiatives, including organization design & integration, talent management, compensation planning, manager coaching, employee development, succession planning, talent calibration, and performance management
- Flawlessly move between R&D’s strategic needs (org design, senior leader coaching, top talent development and calibration) and tactical work (ER, performance management, reporting, managing comp & performance processes), collaborating with functional leaders and talent to understand their needs
- Proactively identify and resolve employee and organizational issues (e.g. impending interpersonal challenges, training needs, structural inefficiencies, communication blockages)
- Work in lock step with partners in Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee Health, & Performance, DEI, Compliance, Finance & Legal
- Mentor other members of the People team
- Help drive the continued evolution of the HRBP function, constantly improving processes and quality of service
- Demonstrated success leveraging data to identify and drive People strategies
- Ability to understand the business and serve as a thought partner to senior executives
- Experience managing cross-functional projects end-to-end
- Deep knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employee relations, investigations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies
- Working knowledge of Google Office Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)
- 5+ years supporting a high-growth Tech company, including direct support of senior executives
- Some Specialist / COE experience is a plus, especially in Total Rewards
- Deep knowledge in labor and employment law
- Track record of tailoring enterprise level programming to your client group AND creating function-specific initiatives from scratch upon identifying a need
- 8+ years experience in progressively responsible HRBP / Generalist roles
