Our open API card issuing platform provides unprecedented flexibility and control for industry-leading companies such as Square, Coinbase, J.P.Morgan, and Uber, to issue cards, authorize transactions, and manage payment operations in real time. Founded in 2010, Marqeta IPO’d in 2021 and has grown into a team of over 900 Marqetans in the US, UK, and Canada.

We are seeking a strategically-minded and influential professional to join our team as a People Business Partner (PBP) for our Go-to-Market organization. You will align People practices with our business strategies, cultivate a positive employee experience, and drive performance and engagement across the entire organization. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of Marqeta, contributing to our vision and upholding our values. By serving as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, you will have a direct impact on all areas of our organization.

We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remote within the United States or from our Oakland, CA headquarters. We’d love for you to join us!

What You'll Do

As a Senior People Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in supporting and collaborating with the Go-to-Market organization, which includes Marketing, Strategy and Operations, Revenue, Delivery, Solutions Engineering & Customer Solutions, and Global Partnerships. Your primary focus will be to provide strategic people advice aligned with the specific needs of these teams and help formulate business strategies that support the company's objectives and goals.

  • Establishing trusted partnerships with business leaders and key stakeholders, offering expertise on employee experience matters, problem-solving using data-driven approaches, and driving change.
  • Acting as an advocate for company culture and ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Understanding the complex challenges faced by teams in a dynamic, growing, and evolving business environment.
  • Providing coaching and consulting to leadership and employees on People-related matters.
