POSITION: Investment Fund Accountant

LOCATION: New York City (In Office)

SALARY: $90,000 – $110,000 + Bonus

Growing boutique Private Equity firm based in NYC seeks an Investment Fund Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Complete special projects upon request
• Assist with the Fund’s valuation process
• Assist with all Investor Relations related activities, including preparing supplemental reports to investors, responding to limited partner requests on a timely basis, supporting future fundraising initiatives, and positively interacting with limited partners in an annual meeting setting
• Ensure accuracy of the Fund’s books and records and Partner allocations
• Assist in oversight of outsourced Tax Compliance team for partnership and corporate returns, as well as review of individual K-1s.
• Work with CFO to ensure all investor and other reporting obligations are completed on a timely basis including quarterly and annual financial statements, tax filings, K-1s, expense reporting, compliance related reporting
• Work closely with CFO and fund administrator to ensure accurate and timely preparation of fund financial statements, annual audits, and tax returns
• Assist with cash management; monitoring all Fund and Management Company cash balances, track line of credit activity, capital requirements and investment funding
• Oversight on Management Company books and records
• Manage quarterly Fund and Portfolio expense tracking and reimbursement process

Requirements:

• Experience working with QuickBooks or other accounting software
• 3 - 5 years of experience, with some VC or PE experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a small team, entrepreneurial environment
• Must be detail oriented and organized and possess excellent analytical skills
