Job Description
Designs, develops and implements marketing programs and/or pricing strategies to support the organization's products, services or market sector. Uses specific marketing strategies and/or media (e.g., Internet, press, television, radio) to launch and position products and services in a sector. Identifies and implements marketing strategies and programs in collaboration with sales and technical teams. Responsibilities are within the Marketing Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.


Overview:


Nasdaq's Investment Intelligence division is at the forefront of delivering actionable insights and data-driven strategies to investors globally. As part of our commitment to innovation, engagement and customer service, we're seeking a skilled and energetic Head of Events to lead our events strategy and execution. This role will involve the coordination of all aspects of our event and conference participation, production of promotional items, conducting tours at Nasdaq MarketSite, and managing associated logistics.


What you’ll do:


  • Event Strategy and Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of Nasdaq's participation in key industry events and conferences. This includes logistics management, coordinating with event organizers, and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders like the marketing team.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Nasdaq at various touchpoints, from conducting tours for partners and customers at Nasdaq MarketSite to liaising with event organizers. Your role is to ensure a consistent, positive brand experience across all these engagements.
  • Promotional Materials Management: Lead the creation and distribution of engaging promotional items (swag). This involves not only production but also inventory management and logistics, ensuring effective and efficient distribution at all events.

  • Articulate: As you'll be conducting tours and interfacing with various stakeholders, excellent verbal communication skills are essential. You can clearly and engagingly convey information, ensuring a positive impression of our brand.
  • Proactive: You take initiative and anticipate needs ahead of time, ensuring that all event-related elements are handled effectively and efficiently.
  • Customer-Oriented: You understand the importance of creating positive experiences for our partners and customers, whether through engaging tours or well-executed events.
  • Organized: Exceptional organizational skills are a must, as you'll be managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth running of all event-related activities.
  • Experienced: You bring a proven track record in event management, preferably within the finance or tech industry, with a deep understanding of conference logistics, promotional item production, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Collaborative: You have a track record of collaborating effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the success of events and promotional initiatives.

The base pay range for this role is $74,800 - $124,600. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
