Investment Banking Vp - (Fig - Banks)

Our client, a leading global Investment Bank, is looking to add an additional VP into their NY FIG team to focus on Banks. The platform has relations with 100's of Banks and looking to expand their IB offerings to them.

This team is responsible for structuring and executing a wide range of complex domestic and cross-border transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, spin-offs, joint-ventures and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts.

Specifically looking for a VP who will be responsible to:

• Provide support and guidance to Interns, Analysts and Associates where appropriate.
• Advise and work closely with clients on all transaction elements, including modelling and valuation, financial and strategic analysis, deal financing, due diligence coordination, negotiations, deal structuring, etc.
• Originate and execute Banking industry transactions across a broad range of IBD solutions (M&A in particular but some degree of ECM , Leveraged Finance, DCM and Structured Products)

The ideal candidate will have a background as follows:

• A proven background in Corporate finance / M&A. Ideally 5-7 years experience.
• Excellent financial modelling skills
• Strong communications skills – ability to interact confidently with banking professionals
• M&A deal experience in the FIG sector
• Good academic qualifications and demonstrated performance
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Excellent financial modelling experience (operating models, capital models, merger models, LBO etc)
