The Human Resources Specialist is the principal advisor for multiple clients; responsible for assisting with implementing and supervising solutions that leads to their team becoming a unified and high performing team.
This position encourages best human resources practices and objectives that provides a team oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, and the recruitment, selection and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
The Human Resources Specialist coordinates and assist with implementing services, policies, programs and advises leaders regarding HR issues.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with improving leadership and team member performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing the selected solution; coaching and counseling managers.
2.Provide consulting and/or support in the areas of recruiting, selection, hiring, employee development, employee relations, compensation and performance management to attract and retain the right talent.
3.Assist clients complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements, as well as, their own policies and procedures by staying abreast to existing and new requirements; encouraging adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
4.Take the lead or assist with updating, developing, creating and administration of programs, policies, procedures and handbooks that ensure consistency and help align the workforce with clients’ organizational objectives.
- Supervise the administration of employee benefit programs to ensure customers are paying correct premiums and eligible employees are added at the appropriate time; oversee or assist with developing and scheduling benefits orientations, communication, education and provides customer service.
- Manage clients’ expectations by communicating service/project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Foster communication and collaboration throughout Cushion’s and the clients’ organizations to encourage seamless implementation of Cushion’s solutions and to perpetuate goodwill.
- Research, familiarize, introduce and promote human resources management “best practice” initiatives to enhance Cushion’s and clients’ overall organizational performance.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies; attending educational workshops.
Education and Experience
·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience
·At least five years’ experience in a HR position
·Professional Human Resources Certification (preferred)
·Excellent knowledge of HR functions

·knowledge of administration of benefits and compensation programs
