HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER SUMMARY: Serves as the specialist or oversees Human Resources programs such as training and development, payroll, and carrying out policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements. Assists safety team to ensure completion with compliance activates.
  • Help to determine service awards.
  • Ensures presentation of training and development programs using various forms and formats including OTJ training, group discussion, facilitator led, and computer based learnings, and videos.
  • Conduct studies, perform research and prepares reports as needed.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain HR data, i.e. pay changes, tax changes. Ensure HRIS is accurate.
  • Assists with the open enrollment process.
  • Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Helps to ensure integrity of personnel files.
  • Cross train on HR subjects outside of your job description.
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
  • Verify and replace Federal and State Compliance Posters per regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain tuition reimbursements and ensure compliance with continuing education.
  • Works with employment specialist to create, organize, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Creates and maintains career ladders and training plans for all positions.
  • Processes payroll and sets up deductions in payroll system. Works with finance to ensure reconciliation and research any inaccuracies.
  • Completes verifications of employment, unemployment claims, reviews invoices, and other forms.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Works proactively to ensure that processes and procedures are best practice.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree in Human Resource Administration or other relevant degree field or 8 years of relevant human resource experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Working knowledge of Office software programs in HRIS, Database software; Internet software; PowerPoint, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
