The Human Resources Business Partner Director builds trusted relationships with executive leaders to understand evolving operational needs and translate them into talent, culture and leadership strategies.This position can be performed remotely with occasional travel. Travel expectations to would be quarterly to within the Intermountain Health geography with more frequent visits during initial onboarding. Intermountain Healthcare maintains employment registration in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Kansas. Other locations may be considered. Currently, we are not hiring remote workers in the following states: CA, HI, RI, WA.
This position reports to a Senior Director Human Resources Business Partner or AVP Human Resources and is responsible for aligning the HR strategy with business objectives to drive key outcomes. This role requires a high level of business acumen and commitment to develop a diverse and collaborative organization. This role supports executive level leaders in various areas of the business including hospitals, clinics, health plans, shared services, etc.
The leader must be a trusted advisor, solution-oriented, able to manage competing priorities, and customer-focused. They are a champion for a highly engaged culture of inclusion and belonging while positioning Intermountain Health as an employer of choice. The director will leverage Intermountain’s Operating Model (Continuous Improvement) to develop and implement data-informed solutions that will support a dynamic growing business. These solutions will drive and support the senior leader’s KPIs which include caregiver engagement, safety, equity, and other metrics as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to influence and coach leaders, and strong facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Progressive professional experience in business and Human Resources leading projects and teams with demonstrated success
- Demonstrated ability to manage and perform with a high degree of autonomy, organization, and adaptability.
- Demonstrated experience of all areas within HR functions including employee relations; organizational development/training; benefits; compensation; legal and regulatory compliance; and diversity.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis, reporting and continuous improvement principles.
- A focus on understanding the needs of the organization and supporting organization leaders with a customer focused, internal consultancy, service orientation.
- HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
