Summary
Provides US benefits leadership and analytical support for Celestica’s US operations and remote employees to the Senior Manager of Compensation & Benefits for the Americas and local HR teams.
Detailed Description
Provides overall leadership and oversees the delivery across the entire portfolio of US benefits and 401(k) programs and initiatives. Primary responsibilities include the following:
- Setup purchase orders and review/approve invoices.
- Act as a primary contact for HR Managers and employees for applicable benefits issues across multiple states. This includes all healthcare benefits, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plans wellness programs, and coordinating with vendors COBRA and leave policies.
- Manage the company’s relationship with all benefit and 401(k) related vendors, consultants and partners.
- Be involved in completing audit requirements in conjunction with finance, external auditors, related to HR benefit and 401(k) programs.
- Deal with urgent employee issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Partner and build relationships with key stakeholders in other teams including HR, Finance, Legal, Communications, Business Leaders and external vendors.
- Manage annual open enrollment process including evaluating competitiveness of offerings, communications and rollout to employees.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Able to effectively work with a wide variety of customers, cross-functional collaborations, as well as leveraging external vendors/partners.
- Ability to manage workload across various time zones.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Able to present and communicate ideas and facts in a clear and articulate manner
- Strong working knowledge of US benefit and 401(k) programs, policies and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and local government regulations.
- Able to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential manner.
- Strong project management skills. Able to evaluate, manage and prioritize multiple highly complex and detailed tasks and projects at any given time.
Typical Experience
- Experience with programs utilizing United Healthcare, Kaiser and ADP an asset.
- Minimum of Five years of relevant experience managing benefits and 401(k).
Typical Education
- CBP, CEBS, PHR, or SPHR certification an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Finance or related field.
