Job Description

Our client, a nonprofit organization is seeking an ongoing temporary HRIS Compliance Specialist. They are targeting someone with a minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration and previous experience with HR functionality within HRIS systems, such as: Paycom, PeopleSoft, Workday, ADP, or similar software.


The payrate for this role will be $28-30/hr


Responsibilities:

  • Provides quality customer service by promptly and accurately responding to HRIS data inquiries from current and former employees or external parties as required.
  • Promptly reports matters affecting or impeding access to HRIS information, reports, and data accuracy to CJA management.
  • Assists in the identification and implementation of HRIS improvements to reduce operating deficiencies and increase efficiency and user experience.
  • Safeguards the confidentiality of sensitive data and documents.
  • Supports HR leadership in documenting procedures for HR processes by creating user guides and presentations.
  • Works with third-party implementation partners to support department needs or HRIS system changes, participates in testing, troubleshooting and upgrades to the HRIS systems.
  • Collaborates with other departments, including Payroll and IT to resolve complex employee data recording, reporting or workflow challenges.
  • Collaborates across the agency to ensure that managers and administrators have the support and information needed for accurate record keeping and data reporting.
  • Supports data-entry related HRIS functions and transactions using established practices, and procedures for promotions, terminations, new hires, leaves of absences and compensation data.
  • Creates and updates routine reports for compliance such as EEO-1, Dept. of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, ACA Compliance, Employee Insurance Census.
  • Conducts data integrity audits to confirm data accuracy in the HRIS system and performs necessary corrections or updates.
  • Ensures adherence to records retention policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Uses current and available technology effectively to support HRIS management goals and leverages available resources to support improvements.
  • Proactively works to anticipate issues related to existing HRIS processes including data-entry, report creation and user access.



Qualifications:

  • Proactively applies critical thinking, common sense, and creativity to solve problems
  • Experience appropriately handling matters and documents of a confidential or sensitive nature with professionalism
  • An ability to balance multiple priorities and carry-out directives with minimal supervision
  • Intermediate Excel skills for data management and reporting
  • Proficiency in MSWord, including the ability to create tables, publications, and mail merge documents
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to prioritize and organize tasks
  • Communicates and interpersonal skills (confident, approachable, and articulate) with a positive demeanor
  • A keen eye for details with the ability to quickly identify discrepancies and proof documents for accuracy
