Compensation:
Staff Analyst I (TA): $58,934 - $69,771 (Represented by OSA) (New Hire Rate: $51,245)
Staff Analyst I (OA): $59,178 - $70,059 (Represented by TWU)
Staff Analyst II TA: $68,430 - $76,213 (New Hire Rate: $59,505)
Staff Analyst II OA: $68,712 - $76,528 (Represented by TWU)
Associate Staff Analyst TA: $77,356 - $100,155 (Represented by OSA) (New Hire Rate: $67,264)
Associate Staff Analyst OA: $77,672 - $100,570 (Represented by TWU)
TA CANDIDATES MUST BE IN A PERMANENT CIVIL SERVICE STATUS IN THE TITLE(S) OF ASSISTANT TRANSIT MANAGEMENT ANALYST IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED OR BE ON AN ESTABLISHED LIST OR HAVE PASSED A CORRESPONDING EXAMINATION.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing timekeeping services including, but not limited to, the timely and accurate recording of time, tracking and maintenance of sick and annual leave balances, reconciliation of payroll entries, and conduct audits of timekeeping records. Position will also serve as Liaison between Timekeeping and User departments, as well as, ensuring correct and consistent application of time & leave regulations based on policy, law and Collective bargaining agreements.
Education and Experience:
Staff Analyst II/Associate Staff Analyst
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Transportation, Public Policy or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from an accredited college may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum three (3) years related work experience in Timekeeping or Payroll.
Staff Analyst I
A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience.
Desired Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizing skills
- Prior Timekeeping/Payroll experience preferred
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office(Word, Access, Excel)
- Ability to meet deadlines and exercise good judgement
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
Other Information:
As an employee of MTA New York City Transit, you may be required to complete an annual financial disclosure statement with the State of New York, if your position earns more than $105,472 (this figure is subject to change) per year or if the position is designated as a policy maker.
