Job Summary:
The Director, Learning and Development will lead the design, development, and implementation of an enterprise-wide learning and development strategy for ArchWell Healthcare’s national primary care medical group. This individual will partner with clinical, IT, and leadership teams to create comprehensive training programs for clinical and non-clinical colleagues. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the development of core competencies, training resources, and vendor partnerships. Additionally, they will lead a team of instructional designers, eLearning developers, and an LMS administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the administration of the Docebo learning management system (LMS) to ensure that it is effectively utilized across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership across the enterprise, including clinical, IT, operations, to identify training needs and create comprehensive learning strategy for clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
  • Design, develop and implement role-based training and core competencies for all colleagues and ensure all training programs are integrated into one strategy
  • Manage vendor partnerships to create training resources that meet the needs of the company.
  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide learning and development strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of instructional designers, eLearning developers, and an LMS administrator to create high-quality training materials that align with adult learning principles.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to learning and development.
  • Use a formalized process for developing and delivering training programs.
  • Develop an evaluation to measure the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements related to training and development.
Qualifications:
  • Experience using Articulate 360
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing vendor partnerships and contracts.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful enterprise-wide training programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of adult learning theory, eLearning design principles, current research/best practice in performance-based learning design
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
  • Experience leading teams of instructional designers, eLearning developers, and LMS administrators.
  • Experience with opening new facilities and rolling out an LMS is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
