About the Role:
We are innovating in technical learning here at CrowdStrike. Our team is focused on delivering modern, technology-enabled learning that helps employees invest in themselves and deliver on our vision of creating high performing learning leaders. The Sr. Manager of Technical Learning and Development is responsible for helping to achieve this vision by designing and delivering learning and development solutions and experiences for our internal technical sales engineers and those of our partners. We’re looking for a manager that has both experience in and passion for creating effective and efficient learning experiences and curriculum that engages learners of every style from in our global Sales Engineering and Solution Architecture team and for our partners. You will manage a small team of subject matter experts and lab engineering whose mission is to meet the learning needs of our internal and partner technical sales professionals in support of the wider organizational mission to provide our customers and prospects with the best experience and support on their buying journey with CrowdStrike.
What You’ll Need:
  • 4-6 years experience in developing engaging and interactive curriculum and learning systems to address the needs of many different learning styles.
  • Organization skills to lead ongoing technical enablement activities that help new hires and existing SEs to develop skills to deliver effective customer presentations, demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts (SMEs) and functional stakeholders to perform needs analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing materials to identify the appropriate approach and content for CrowdStrike’s diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated capability in building trusted partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Training design, development, delivery and measurement experience including project/program management.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple short and long-term projects, in various stages by employing focused task management, creative problem-solving skills and tactical and strategic planning to keep projects on time and on budget.
  • You geek out on the latest research on developing engaging learning especially those investigating play-based and gamified learning methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills to all levels.
  • Experience administering technology learning platforms including non-traditional LMS systems.
  • Develop and build learning assets and solutions, incorporating adult learning theory within content development, in multiple modalities, and curating and developing best-in-class e-learning authoring software and tools, such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Articulate 360, Captivate, or Vyond, and graphic/video software (i.e. Adobe suite, iMovie, Camtasia).
  • Talent management (performance, goal setting, talent segmentation) experience at a functional or organization-wide level.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust course as business needs change and under pressure.
  • Use instructional design methods (i.e., ADDIE, Merrill’s Principles, Bloom’s Taxonomy) to create employee-centric learning experiences.
  • 3-4 years of people management experience.
  • Lead learning and development programmatic logistics, including participant enrollment, key stakeholder communications, scheduling, and collateral/materials management.
  • You’re a natural leader who can balance empathy with logic, objectivity, and creativity.
  • Experience with or knowledge of research in building learning systems based on play or gamification.
  • Leverage data and metrics to correlate program participation to performance outcomes, making course corrections as needed to ensure desired results are achieved
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment
How You'll Lead:
  • Own end-to-end development programs.
  • Establish key program metrics, milestones, and goals.
  • Iterate on program content based on employee and stakeholder feedback.
  • Develop and manage program budgets.
  • Socialize, evangelize, and scale program content to meet a global base.
  • Track engagement and feedback of programs.
  • Manage relationships with external partners who build and facilitate content.
  • Scale complex, ambiguous, and high visibility learning programs.
  • Plan and implement self-directed, virtual, blended, and in-person learning experiences.
  • Develop meaningful and achievable goals, objectives, and development plans for direct reports that align to their compensation and the wider mission of the organization.
  • Use instructional design methods to create innovative remote and in-person learning.
Requirements:
  • Experience designing and delivering programs using adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Experience and comfortability presenting to a wide range of employee audiences, from C-suite to Interns.
  • 3+ years experience managing projects and project teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional, user-experience, training, or process design.
  • Experience leading and managing highly-visible learning and development projects at all stages of the project life cycle on-time and on-budget.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of professional experience.
  • Experience with adapting learning content in multiple delivery formats, from self-guided learning to virtual (on-camera) delivery to in-person learning experiences.
  • 3+ years of experience partnering, collaborating, and consulting multiple internal organizational partners and stakeholders.
Bonus Points:
  • Prior experience in functional areas of Human Resources, Consulting, Technical Training, or Sales Engineering is helpful but not required.
  • Experience in a high growth, cloud native or security company.
  • You understand sales and the buying journey of a customer from initial interest to post-sales adoption.
  • 2+ years of in-classroom or virtual facilitation of employee or adult development/learning content.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $95,000 - $185,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
