The Role:
We are looking for a Director, Learning & Development with proven experience in scaling and leading a Learning & Development team in a high-growth company.
You are responsible for planning, designing, and delivering learning and development programs to new hires, individuals, and managers to help build a strong and productive workforce with an emphasis on continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
- Measurement: Monitor the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
- Training Design: Design & deliver different methods of training (e-learning, live training, workshops).
- Career Development: Help build a competency matrix and career leveling for all roles & departments to develop employee talent and drive performance, productivity, and progression.
- New Hire Orientation: Be responsible for redesigning and developing a New Hire Orientation and Product Training.
- Talent Development: Continuously developing employee talent through training programs such as conflict resolution, communication (giving and receiving feedback), asynchronous and remote working.
- Organizational Analysis: Conduct organizational needs analysis and create training plans to ensure all employees have the required competencies to excel in their roles.
- Leadership Training: Oversee the development and delivery of strategic leadership development programs for all managers.
Qualifications:
- Experienced in building business proposals around learning and development investments (both in form of time investment and monetary investment).
- Possess a strong sense of urgency about solving problems and getting work done thoroughly with extreme focus and consistently moving with super speed.
- You are a principles-first leader that build learning programs informed by needs analysis, has strong program management skills, and can not only develop but facilitate high impact learning programs.
- Well versed in the trends and landscape for learning technology that best supports a scaling and remote-first learning environment; able to fully own a learning technology strategy, selection, implementation, and ongoing assessment.
- You have proven experience in building and evolving new hire orientation programs, and people management programs and people leadership programs for a global, diverse team. You can point to proven impact and quantifiable results from these efforts (e.g., behavioral change, business impact, increased engagement, higher performance).
- Strong track record of effectively influencing, communicating, and building strong partnerships with internal leaders to develop strong leaders.
- Expertise in multiple development and training platforms and methods.
- Capability to dive deep and do the hard work required to create an impact, ability to gain a deeper understanding of issues, and problem-solve.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to break down complex concepts and clearly articulate them internally for all types of learners.
- Showcases genuine inquisitiveness, dedication toward asking and continuous learning, using questions strategically to understand learn, and take action.
- Ability to take full personal responsibility or ownership for all projects, activities, and decisions regarding Learning & Talent Development. Demonstrates commitment to delivering goals and objectives proactively.
- 10 years of L&D experience, and at least 2 years of leadership experience.
