Job Description
The HR Business Analyst provides analysis, recommendations, and solutions in response to business needs. They collaborate with the business to understand needs to ensure HR solutions align to achieve business objectives. The HR Business Analyst will analyze large amounts of data, draw conclusions & create an action plan to drive results. This position will be responsible for analyzing HR data and partnering with HR Centers of Excellence (COE) to ensure solutions are designed within the design centers guardrails.
Job Functions
  • Provides real time data gathering, analysis and conclusions
  • Conducts return on investment (ROI) analysis for key initiatives
  • Develops reporting to influence talent decision-making and support performance improvement.
  • Participates in ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Collaborates across functions to conduct root cause analysis and identify risks to achieve talent goals, and makes corresponding recommendations. Provides the business area with options to mitigate risks.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis and reviews for the business area. Translates complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Creates systematic processes to develop, build, and refine dashboard reporting for stores to provide visibility to KPIs and other related performance metrics. i.e. Microsoft Access, SQL, Microsoft Excel, VBA, Macros, Tableau
  • Performs analysis of talent metrics (i.e. recruiting, openings, turnover, performance plan impacts, etc…) unique for top tier stores
  • Supports business area initiatives through report generation, in-depth analysis, and recommendations. Understands key performance metrics of these initiatives and how they are influenced during specific times of the year or specific events.
  • Continuously looks to simplify reporting processes, to better use of technology and tools.
  • Pulls data from multiple sources, generate conclusions and package results in presentable documents and formats for executive review
  • Manage trends to determine appropriate action plans

Minimum Education & Experience:
  • 2 years of experience performing analytics with a proven track record of increasing responsibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Education & Experience:
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Prior retail experience

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to use query tools and databases (Hyperion Essbase a plus).
  • Ability to take complex / unprecedented problems and propose solutions.
