As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, Siemens Energy is in the process of transforming its Global Mobility Management (GMM) with a focus on independent, state of the art consultation and service delivery to the business.

We are looking for high-impact, experienced and hands-on Regional & Business Partners Global Mobility to play a pivotal role in our transformation initiatives, working with colleagues and diverse internal and external stakeholders across the globe.

A Snapshot of Your Day

The GMM Regional & Business Partner position is responsible for aligning HR and business objectives for Global Mobility Management with country HR, management, vendors, and further internal and external stakeholders in both the designated Region(s) and assigned global Business unit(s). The position formulates partnerships across the Global Mobility function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The GMM Regional & Business Partner maintains an effective level of regional and business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Together with the assignment case managers you ensure well-oiled operations, and a customer centric handling of Siemens Energy global mobility needs both the designated Region(s)s and assigned global Business unit(s).
  • Identify trends and patterns (including from the external market) to suggest continuous improvement initiatives related to global or local processes.
  • You engage with all countries in your region and their respective HR function – even if no dedicated GMM resource is on-site – serving as their strategic expert for all matters related to Global Mobility Management. Helping this community and the Regional Management to flourish, grow together and exchange knowledge is one of your most important tasks.
  • Provide global mobility related change and project management support in the assigned region(s) and Business Unit(s).
  • In a constantly evolving environment, you transform the organization to fulfil customer needs in the most efficient way. You will drive (cross-) regional projects and initiatives to bring the new global vertical setup of GMM to life.
  • You are responsible for supporting the assignment processes in assigned countries and aligning with local stakeholders. You ensure compliance with local rules and regulations and educate the global community on these.
  • Keep up to date with any country specific global mobility rules and regulations to ensure knowledge sharing with the involved cross functional stakeholders.
  • Responsibility for end-to-end process description of all Global Mobility tasks ensuring lean administration among vendors, local GM (Global Mobility) Team, and global GM Team.
  • You know the needs of your assigned region and partner with our global community to translate these into a smooth assignment experience for our assignees.
  • You are responsible for consulting on new country set up for countries in which Siemens Energy has not had recent assignment activity. You work closely with colleagues within and outside of HR, as well as external advisors to ensure a compliant in-country set-up which allows for project execution in a timely and cost-effective manner.


What You Bring

  • Experience working with IT systems such as PowerPoint, Excel, HR Software
  • HR experience from some of the assigned countries is highly valued.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
  • Fast paced environment: Proactive attitude, have the ability to quickly learn country specific regulatory and legal requirements that impact the business.
  • More than 5 years’ experience working with within global mobility in an energy or EPC industry operating environment.
  • University degree in business administration, finance, HR, or another related education
  • International working experience is an advantage.
  • Structured, self-driven, no problem meeting deadlines
  • Analytical approach to problem solving, “can do” attitude, working independently as well as team oriented
  • Multitasking: You must often juggle with several projects and/or cases, and it is important that you can set priorities and follow them.
  • Excellent communication skills that enable you to interact seamlessly with colleagues as well internal and external stakeholders. You preferably have proven stakeholder management skills to be able to deal with a wide variety of people, locally and globally.
  • Have an exceptional understanding of the end-to-end global mobility management process and interdependencies as well as up to date knowledge of Global Mobility best practices and tools

In this role you will be working within the Human Resources function – Global Mobility Management, a team responsible for one of the largest, most complex global mobility programs in the world. Our team is responsible for guaranteeing the compliant, rapid, and economically viable cross-border movement of Siemens Energy employees to job sites and foreign offices around the world.
