Our large electrical installation services client is growing, and we are recruiting for an HR/Payroll Administrative Assistant. Successful candidates need to have critical thinking skills and at least 2 years experience in excel, office programing, administrative work, and multitasking is also a must. The position is fast-paced during busy cycles and slows down when there is a fluctuation in hiring, but there is always something important that needs to be done. This position will sit in an open space behind a partition to assist employees and candidates. Upper management will be located nearby and training is provided.Perform other duties may be required

Drug and background checks are performed. Valid identification and reliable transportation required. We are an E-Verify employer. We will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. Our employees are authorized to work in the United States.

Experience Requirements
- Typing speed of 40+ wpm
- Totaling timesheets, entering and updating spreadsheets, processing new hire and termination paperwork
- Working autonomously and as part of a team
- Attending jobsite and customer meetings, and taking manual or electronic notes
- Sending professionally articulated emails regarding attendance and onboarding
- Microsoft office especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Clear thinking, ability to understand and follow directions, and stay on task are also required.
- Multitasking, speed, and accuracy while paying attention to detail
- Translating bilingual calls and assist employees - use text messaging, email, and phone to communicate with candidates and employees
- Short-term and long-term thinking
- Managing high volume HR phone calls regarding multiple inquiries
- Taking direction and also taking initiative
- Distributing, downloading, uploading, and filing personnel paperwork (handling electronic and manual paperwork)
- Have worked in environments that may have involved exposure to jobsite situations
- Review and distribute applications to various Office Managers, schedule interviews
- Ask for medical releases to return to work, updating attendance program, managing confidential information
- 2 years or more assisting HR Managers or Divisional Managers handling various HR/Payroll duties
