Advisory Board Member for Operations

Location: Client domiciled in Europe, open to candidates based in Asia, Europe or US.

• The purpose of this role is to represent the operations strategy at board level, to ensure the optimisation of all operational opportunities, to increase reach to customers and consumers globally.
• Your key contribution will be as a principal architect of the company’s mid and long term operations strategy and set up.
• Our client is looking for a key person to join their Advisory Board, supporting operations, with key focus on manufacturing & supply chain.

Responsibilities Include:

• Help with opportunities, risks and value add contacts to secure and optimise operations.
• Monitor and support the management performance.
• Be an independent sparring partner for the CEO and COO focused on solutions, opportunities, ideas and value add contacts.
• Give input and sign off on the company strategy and budget in relation to operations.
• Oversee the operations; manufacturing & SC strategy, adding global expertise in emerging technologies.
• Help to develop and implement a more independent manufacturing and SC setup from current geographical locations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in relevant industry standards, ISO, Lean management, and compliance.
• Experience in strategic leadership, strategy building and implementation.
• Available for preparation and participation in board meetings and committees.
• Senior international operations expert, deep expertise in global manufacturing and supply chain, across multiple geographies and manufacturing environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Background and track record in manufacturing and supply chain in consumer electronics/products that underpin a recognised lifestyle brand.
• Strong active and respected network with key players in the relevant countries.
• Ability to think and act entrepreneurially while being able to implement the relevant discipline and foundations to effectively scale for growth.
• Expertise in aligning corporate best practice with a high growth entrepreneurial culture.
