Graphic Designer / Marketing Assistant - Remote

CannabizTeam is looking for a Graphic Designer / Marketing Assistant to join the team.

This is a 100% remote position.

Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Marketing Assistant/Graphic Designer is to support the VP of Marketing on projects and campaigns and help execute marketing plans and strategies. They are responsible for carrying out graphic design plans, executing administrative tasks, and gathering and organizing data received from marketing campaigns. They will also be responsible for helping to brainstorm social media/marketing plans, monitoring campaigns, researching social media trends, running the Instagram account with guidance, and researching the competition. Additionally, they will be responsible for reviewing content that the VP of Marketing produces.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Solid proofreading skills for spelling and grammar
• Proficient in graphic design (infographics, ads, reports, etc.) and photo editing (Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools)
• Basic knowledge of Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress)
• Data collection and organization
• Some experience with the Elementor website builder tool is a plus
• Basic knowledge of MailChimp (importing contacts, segmenting lists, etc.)
• Experience with Instagram (creating posts, maintaining engagement, responding to direct messages appropriately, following trends, etc.)
• Some experience with email outreach
• Willingness to learn basic on-page SEO
• Data entry and organization skills--proficient with Excel

Daily/Weekly Responsibilities Include:

• Various data entry tasks and projects
• Review content for spelling and grammar errors
• MailChimp—edit Excel sheets for import, proofing email blasts
• Searching for photo options for feature, snapshot, and press blogs + photo editing
• Social Media--brainstorming posts (what's trending?), engaging with followers, responding to direct messages, creating posts, etc.
• Execute graphic design as directed for Instagram posts, LinkedIn campaigns, MailChimp, Cannabiz Media, projects (e.g. salary guide), events, etc. as directed
• Research and outreach for backlink opportunities as needed
• Cannabiz Media--creating lists, cleaning up lists, creating graphics for email blasts
• Monitor job board for working links, updated meta descriptions, featured job updates, etc.
• WordPress—create profiles for top talent, update featured jobs, retrieve email addresses from Gravity Forms, minor updates for blogs as needed
