Job Description

At La La Land, we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and electronic media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project. The Graphic Designer will help assist the Creative Director with every aspect of design that will help shape the visual aspects of in-store elements, campaigns for drink launches, product packaging, merch and more.


Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Create compelling and effective logos, designs, print and digital media
  • Work closely with printers and vendors to ensure the quality of printed materials meets expectations.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets
  • Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software
  • Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as photoshop
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand design requirements, objectives, and target audience for various projects.
  • Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape and market trends
  • Develop creative visual concepts, designs, and layouts for a variety of marketing materials, including but not limited to menus, signage, promotional materials, social media content, and packaging.
  • Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary
  • Create eye-catching graphics that effectively communicate messages and promotions to engage customers and drive foot traffic.
  • Communicating with clients about layout and design
  • Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed
  • Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval
  • Ensure all designs adhere to the La La Land’s branding guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across all materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with design trends and techniques to continuously elevate the La La Land’s design aesthetics.
  • Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary
  • Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 2-4 years experience as a graphic designer or in related field.
  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Illustrator, XD (a plus if you know Premier Pro or After Effects)
  • Knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with computer-aided design.
  • Prior experience with food and beverage branding or food-related designs is
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including print materials, digital graphics, and branding elements.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing design requirements and work independently.

  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
  • A strong eye for visual composition.
  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in the food and beverage industry or a related field.
  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
