Company Overview:

PipeIQ is a rapidly growing generative AI startup, pioneering the creation of autonomous AI agents that aim to revolutionize the marketing and sales industry. As the head of engineering, you will join an experienced team led by a seasoned entrepreneur who has been involved with startups since 2006. Please understand that this position is strictly an equity-based (5% - 10%) opportunity until we obtain funding.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in fundraising and leverage your network to help expand our team as we grow.
• Define and implement our technical strategy aligning with our ambitious business goals.
• Actively involve in all aspects of business operations, contributing to company strategy, and representing the company to clients, investors, and business partners.
• Collaborate closely with others on the team to ensure alignment and synergy across the business.
• Have a strong product intuition, with a focus on understanding and addressing user needs.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of AI trends and technological advancements, specifically in foundational Large Language Models (LLMs) as well as the AI stack around Langchain, vector databases, Hugging Face etc.
• Provide visionary leadership to our engineering and product teams, driving innovation and efficiency.
• Lead our development projects and oversee the delivery of high-quality software solutions, initially taking a hands-on role in coding and development.

Qualifications:

• Significant startup experience, preferably in a leadership role, with a demonstrable track record of success.
• Highly collaborative with strong leadership skills.
• Experience with fundraising is a plus.
• Significant experience with Generative AI Language Models (LLMs) is highly desired.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability is a must.
• Proven experience building products with AI/ML technologies, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and generative AI tooling.
• Experience in bot development is a plus.
• Exceptional coding and software development skills, comfortable with hands-on development and technical leadership in the initial stages.
• 7+ years of experience building software products.
• Experience building a Martech/Salestech platform from scratch is a big plus.
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
• PhD or MS from a top school in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
• Strong familiarity with APIs, especially integrations with CRM and Marketing Automation systems.
