Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled QuickBooks Specialist/Consultant who will be responsible for setting up and transitioning us to rely on automation between timesheet, payroll, and QuickBooks. The person in the role will supporting the current finance manger to ensure accurate and timely financial recording and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of QuickBooks accounting software and be able to provide support, training, and consultation to two internal staff on its efficient use. The role will require the candidate to work closely with Human Resources to analyze their business requirements and provide solutions to improve the management of their financial data.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Revise QuickBooks accounting functions such as setup, day-to-day data entry, and end-of-period financial reports.
- Provide expert advice and consultation on financial management for clients using QuickBooks.
- Analyze business requirements of clients and develop custom reporting templates and dashboards.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and reconciliations of bank and credit card transactions.
- Create and maintain a chart of accounts in line with business compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide resolutions or escalate to the appropriate department.
- Implement best practices for maintaining data integrity and security.
- Perform ad-hoc duties when required by the management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor or any relevant QuickBooks Certification.
- At least five years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, and QuickBooks management.
- Understanding of various industries’ accounting practices, including tax compliance and applicable regulations.
- Demonstrate proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Demonstrate proficiency with MS Excel
- Highly analytical and with excellent numerical skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work through tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
