Job Overview:
This Manager - Finance role provides strategic financial support and analysis for Disney Parks, Experience and Products Technology and Digital. This position will partner closely with project teams to develop pro forma financial analyses and capital authorization requests (CARs) for capital investments. In addition, this individual will lead the team that is responsible for developing the long-term and annual capital plans as well as quarterly forecasts and other day-to-day financial management support.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively answers and makes recommendations regarding client questions
- Ensures accuracy of all financial information included in planning processes and financial analysis
- Gathers, analyzes, prepares and makes recommendations for capital plans and forecasts
- Develops a strong understanding of the business supported and the ability to proactively provide and analyze data before it’s requested and gather agreement with all partners on relevant issues
- Prepares and presents financial packages/decks
- Prepares and presents financial reports and analyses to Finance and Technology senior leadership
- Partners with Technology project teams to prepare pro forma analyses and develop capital authorization requests (CARs)
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of financial experience in activities such as annual planning, forecasting, variance analysis, financial analysis, reporting, or auditing
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues from multiple stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Previous financial modeling experience, including pro forma development, discounted cash flow analysis and operating income analysis and improvement
- Demonstrated problem solving and strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately while working in a fast-paced and vibrant environment
- Ability to succeed in a team environment
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to simplify complex issues and incorporates effective “storytelling” to engage and influence the audience
- Ability to deliver presentations and communication to audiences of all levels persuasively, articulately and with full command of the topic
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting
Preferred Education:
- Master’s degree or equivalent
