Accountant Iii Jobs

Purpose

Reporting to the General Ledger Supervisor the senior level Accountant will be responsible for administering activities surrounding a specific accounting area and perform financial accounting as well as related reporting with some tax functions.

Primary Responsibilities

• From time to time research sales and use tax issues and prepare tax returns.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information monthly.
• Create, monitors and maintains the Fixed Assets module.
• Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, trial balance and other necessary reports.
• Assist other departments with accounting related questions and provide guidance. May work on special projects as required throughout the company, as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Performing month-end account reconciliations including preparation of working papers for auditors' review.
• May provide leadership through work instruction, review of work, and training as directed to other finance and accounting employees.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

Education

• Minimum 7+ years accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

Qualification

• Strong proficiency in data analysis.
• Proven ability to multi-task, be organized, and have strong oral.
• Wide area workflow highly desirable.
• Government contracting experience highly desirable.
• Experience with Oracle EBS desirable.
• Advance MS Excel knowledge.
