GROWTH DIRECTOR – E-COMMERCE & DIGITAL – ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Growth Director for E-commerce and Digital, your responsibilities include analyzing, reviewing, and recommending strategies and tactics to drive business profitability by increasing visitors, improving conversion rates, capturing larger average order sizes, and managing margin performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Managerial Responsibilities
• Delivery of timely one to one’s (1 to 1’s) and preparing and delivering mid-year and year-end performance evaluations.
• Promote professional and personal development of individual team members by utilizing computerized and other systems for tracking service, and quality, setting productivity goals, training and coaching interventions and career opportunity programs, and researching information and troubleshooting.
• Take proactive steps to manage employees’ attendance in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure all team members have access to, understand, and are current on company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate changes in staffing schedules and overtime requirements, if applicable, in accordance with company guidelines.
• Provide ongoing management and coaching.
Individual Responsibilities
• Ownership and management of -
• Customer Experience including Design & Aesthetics, Content, Navigation, Information Architecture, Branding/Digital Marketing.
• E-commerce marketing including social media search, affiliates, and influencers.
• SEO measurements and monitoring methodologies.
• Direct and manage internal and external partner teams.
• Provide expertise on current Ecommerce industry best practices.
• Advise cross-functional teams (e.g. Logistics, Services, Merchandising, etc.) to ensure e-commerce principles are incorporated.
• Identify new areas of e-commerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
• Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
• Must be a seasoned professional in the digital retailing market, with strong D2C experience.
• Must have extensive knowledge of e-commerce technologies and tactics.
• Must have an understanding of the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions to implement new e-commerce strategies.
• Must have proven success in developing and rapidly growing digital D2C brands.
