The Director, Talent Acquisition (Director, TA) reports into the Chief People Officer and is responsible for building and executing all Talent Acquisition functions for Red Robin. The Director, TA, hires, leads, and develops a team of Talent Acquisition Managers, Recruiters, Coordinators, and temporary employees who own the full cycle recruiting process or support with the process. They are a role model of best HR practices and hiring strategies. As a member of the HR Leadership team, the Director, TA is a strategic and cross functional partner who is responsible for executing projects and initiatives.
Essential Functions of the Job:
1. Build, evolve, and adjust strategic hiring plan. Including, but not limited to, setting vision, influencing processes, building and maintaining budget, and providing tools for successful Talent Acquisition practices
- Identify, understand, and leverage market data, industry trends, and emerging talent acquisition platforms/resources to support Red Robin’s recruiting needs
- Responsible for partnering with HRIS (Workday) team and Advertising Agency to build and distribute reporting for senior leaders
- Support and/or own full cycle recruiting process for senior level openings both in the Field and Restaurant Support Center (RSC)
- Build, manage, and reforecast budgets to include G&A, recruitment advertising, relocation, management training
2. Act as a strong partner to business leaders to identify and understand needs, obstacles, and concerns. Provide consultation on talent acquisition strategies and challenges with Field and RSC stakeholders.
- Develop effective working relationships with leaders at all levels of the organization
- Proactively partner with senior leader, Field HR, and RSC HR Business Partner to support workforce planning and talent management processes
- Actively participate in and contribute to cross functional projects
- Support company DEI strategies, tactics, and goals
- Maintain all Talent Acquisition Resources
- As a member of the HR Leadership team, provide excellent strategic partnership and guidance, as well as execute programs and initiatives for internal clients
- Support HR Partners, Hiring Managers and Executive Team in incremental headcount needs and strategy for the Corporate Office
- Execute & evolve onboarding and assimilation programs
3. Manage Talent Acquisition vendor relationships including but not limited to Advertising Agency, RPO, Background Checks and Assessments.
- Responsible for negotiating contracts
- Evaluate vendor proposals and conduct RFPs as needed to meet current and future objectives
- Ensure accuracy and payment of invoices
4. Hire, lead and Develop Talent Acquisition Team
5. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Managing a TA team of various levels and responsibilities
- Proven success in full cycle recruiting, strategic mindset, problem solving skills, strong capability of driving efficiencies, experience with people management
- Proven success in aligning TA Strategies/Structure with a fluid business
- Proven success in building large TA Teams
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite and HRIS/ATS systems
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and a minimum of 6 years of experience in Talent Acquisition.
- Experience in data driven decision making
