Job Description

***Hiring Manager/Director of Talent Acquisition***

Employment Type: Full-time/Permanent

Location: Overland Park, KS

Compensation: Base salary $120,000 to $130,000 plus $10,000 to $15,000 bonus

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the annual recruitment and hiring budget process
  • Develop, drive, and maintain company-wide talent acquisition strategies that promote as an employer-of-choice and attract skilled, experienced, and diverse talent at all levels of the organization, including managing company presence on all recruiting social sites/channels
  • Understands talent acquisition and onboarding process in different areas of the business, identify ways to improve the process and partner to implement changes that improve efficiency/experience
  • Manage the employee referral program
  • Works with Hiring Managers to manage requisitions and fill open positions
  • Develop and maintain strong and trusting relationships with employees and managers to successfully mediate and resolve employee relations concerns and grievances and assist with retention and follow-up
  • Manage full cycle corporate recruiting efforts to include posting positions internally and externally, searching resume databases, reviewing resumes, screening applicants, coordinating, and conducting interviews, presenting and negotiating offers
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management
  • Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of our company
  • Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews, and communication)
  • Manage employee on-boarding process and participate in coordinating first week for new employees
  • Coordinate the regular review and update of hiring materials across the organization; develop training materials and coach company leadership and hiring managers on networking and recruiting
  • Evaluate current vendors/partnerships, identify new vendors/partnerships, and maintain relationships with various vendors and partners related to talent acquisition, i.e. job boards, agencies, executive search firms, industry and trade groups, etc.
  • Evaluate current recruiting processes, policies, and procedures, devise improvements and enhancements, implement process changes ensuring recruiting processes comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies
  • Daily responsible include full-cycle recruiting to find the most qualified talent for all office locations in a timely manner
  • Generate an on-going pipeline of qualified active and passive candidates
  • Work with leadership to understand current hiring needs and plans for needs forecasted in the future
  • Measure key recruitment metrics, like source of hire and time-to-hire


Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience managing full cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners, and candidates)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to changing business demands
  • 5+ years’ experience in HR, a plus
  • Ability to embrace change in the workplace while encouraging others to seek innovative approaches
  • Broad experience with recruiting, compensation, employee relations and federal/state laws preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and online applicant tracking systems
  • Ability to always interact in a professional and courteous manner with clients and employees
  • High level of professional integrity required; ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust
  • Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g., social networks)
  • 5+ years of prior internal or agency recruiting experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field of study
  • Ability to always exercise good judgment by making sound and practical decisions; ability to assume responsibility for decisions and act decisively under deadlines
  • Expertise in implementing recruitment marketing plans, including expertise with social media recruitment marketing
