Director, Strategic Opportunities And Alliance

SUMMARY: The Director, Strategic Opportunities and Alliance position is responsible for developing new strategic opportunities both nationally and internationally and developing new strategic alliances to enhance the organization’s services. Managing existing strategic alliance relationships and evaluating, prioritizing, and generating proposals to ensure a strong pipeline. Driving and managing multiple long sales cycle opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience:
• Bachelors in life science, business or related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and cultivate relationships with senior executives and C-suite.
• 10+ years combination of pharma/life sciences consulting, pharma/life sciences partnerships, pharma/life sciences clinical studies, pharma/life sciences analytics or ops experience.
• Education:
• Deal origination & negotiation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and present reports.
• Adheres to Code of Conduct as outlined in the Baylor Genetics Compliance Program. (required)
• Work cross-departmentally to oversee and manage projects with metrics and skills.
• Drive the BD initiatives and ensure goals attainment.
• Review, update and/or create new SOPs to support the process of Strategic Opportunities and Alliance.
• Align department objectives with the needs of company goals and generate revenue through establishing and maintaining Life Science deals and partnerships.
• Exhibit the ability to communicate clearly with transparency, honesty, and integrity.
• Model as a leader who can leverage industry knowledge and connections to increase revenue and market share.
• Lead efforts both internally and externally with solid leadership skills and demonstrable background in developing new and managing existing strategic opportunities and alliances .
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned. (required)
• Perform and stretch to achieve goals efficiently.
• Build relationships and create business opportunities with executive level and C-Suite prospect interactions.
• Manage and execute plans with business acumen.
