Pay Range: Starting at $150,000.00

As a Senior Director of Fleet Management you will direct the corporate fleet function by developing focused fleet strategies, measuring and improving equipment utilization and ensuring cost effective fleet management programs. You will oversee fleet related compliance activities and reporting and ensure that corporate fleet management strategies and procedures support the needs of internal customers. You will report to the SVP of Strategic Operations.



*This position may sit in any of our operating offices across the US.


What You'll Do

  • Optimize the disposal of our assets in accordance with the company’s fleet life cycle model and create visibility to current valuations across the company
  • Execute a focused fleet life cycle management strategy covering rental and non-rental assets to ensure fleet standardization and maximization of ROI of company fleet
  • Develop and manage systems and reports to ensure equipment utilization is maximized
  • Participate in the selection and approval of equipment to meet company needs
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and information flow while striving to exceed customer service expectations
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high performing and collaborative team
  • Maintain positive business relationships with key internal customers
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
  • Assist with the annual Request for Proposal negotiations with selected vendors and manage the purchase process for all rental and non-rental equipment
  • Drive quality process improvements that focus on safety, financials, operations and customer service
  • Provide cost effective fleet management by identifying, evaluating and engaging rental and non-rental equipment supply vendors and service providers
  • Work with field fleet management teams to maximize efficiency of invested capital across the company rental and non-rental fleet


What You'll Have

  • 10 years’ experience in fleet management and experience leading teams
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to effectively negotiate contracts and interface with senior leadership
  • Ability to effectively lead up, across and down the organization
  • Experience in Fleet Asset Management required
  • Strong understanding of the rental industry, construction equipment and primary equipment types
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fleet Management or relevant field, MBA preferred

Work Environment

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing

  • Flexibility to work different schedules and stay late with little or no notice
