The Role - Who You’ll Work With


The Assistant Program Director of Innovation and Quality will report to the Senior Manager, Data Analytics and will work with ORR, and other operations staff to deliver superlative support to vulnerable UCs and their Sponsors.


What You’ll Do


The Assistant Program Director of Innovation and Quality will play an integral role in establishing and structuring a new national TPG sponsor services unification program to support UCs and their sponsors.


The Assistant Program Director Will


  • Provides timely data and reporting to support program needs and drive program improvements
  • Maintain a consistent level of communication with ORR and TPG ecosystem
  • Ensure program compliance with quality assurance standards, training requirements, and all other contractual requirements
  • Proactive, ongoing identification of opportunities for innovation and improvement
  • Oversees the Quality Control and Case Review Team
  • Track performance and productivity trends in conjunction with Regional Supervisors
  • Ensure ongoing program-wide compliance with government policies, procedures, and guidance; applicable laws and regulations; and TPG policies and procedures
  • Identify gaps of service provision and within internal processes
  • Systematic evaluation of TPG performance against defined PWS standards to maintain program quality
  • Manage operational compliance with all ORR requirements,
  • Leader for Continuous Improvement and Technology Innovations


The Impact of Your Results – – Will assist with implementation and oversight of data, quality, gap analysis, and compliance to directly impact success of program and identification of strengths and weaknesses to discuss with leadership.


Key Skills


What We’re Looking for


  • Must have a Master ‘s degree or an equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other behavioral science and 3 years related supervisory experience. This requirement may be substituted by a bachelor's degree in one of the aforementioned sciences, plus approximately 5 years of relevant employment experience.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, excellent organizational abilities
  • Excellent judgement and leadership capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong Problem Solving Skills
  • Ability to detail and convey findings


Key Knowledge


  • Specialized experience working with immigrant populations
  • Prior experience with ORR HS/PRS
  • In-depth understanding of child welfare best practices, trauma informed care systems, and working within homes and communities
  • Knowledgeable about family preservation, kinship care, and/or general child welfare
  • Knowledge of local community social services

The Work Environment – Remote – working from home office. Occasional travel required to support regional operations and to the corporate office in Ashburn, VA. Availability during off-hours via cell phone, as needed.


Work Schedule – This is a full-time position.


Physical Demands - To perform the essential functions of the job, qualified candidates must be able to perform the following: reaching, grasping, hearing/listening, seeing/observing, mobility to walk for extended periods of time, run, carry, load and unload luggage. Position does require the ability to read written documentation from a computer screen throughout the workday, stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time and drive vehicles, (alert/vigilant of surroundings) for extended periods of time.
