As the Director, People Partners, you will:
- Mentor up-and-coming People leaders on our team by sharing your experience and expertise, and lead by example with managing competing priorities, navigating complex people situations, and developing trusted relationships with senior leaders
- Create and implement progressive talent strategies to address retention and development needs
- Become a trusted resource and great example by establishing credibility through your actions and interactions with Mavens
- Work closely with other cross-functional teams, including (but not limited to) People Operations, People Experience, Internal Communications, Finance, and Legal to ensure clear roles and responsibilities and efficient processes
- Act on insights you gain from people data to drive engagement and a high-performance culture within your client groups and across Maven
- Deliver people programs, including (but not limited to) performance management, compensation review, manager training, employee workshops and engagement surveys
- Partner with Recruiting to help drive a great experience for candidates and a streamlined onboarding experience
- Serve as the right hand to our Senior Vice President, Employer Growth; Chief Growth Officer; and Senior Vice President, Client Services by providing regular strategic counsel and guiding them as they lead their teams through change
- Build structures and processes that help us work more efficiently and sustainably with an eye toward operating at scale
- Support the Growth organization by developing and executing people strategies that align with your client groups’ business strategies
- Coach and develop leaders at all levels in the organization and demonstrate your objectiveness and empathy as you work with employees
- Continuously iterate on people programs based on feedback from your client groups and the rest of the company, and identify areas where we can build and deliver new company-wide programs, and follow through on your ideas
- Experience and sound understanding of sales compensation and commission structures
- People Partner background working specifically with customer-facing client groups
- Excellent communication skills in all forms that exhibit your objectiveness, empathy, patience, and diplomacy
- An entrepreneurial drive, ability to create order from chaos, and willingness to roll up your sleeves to directly solve challenging problems
- Proven success partnering with executive-level leaders to help them achieve their goals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 8+ years of experience in Human Resources Business Partner, People leadership, or equivalent business operations roles
- Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills and ability to establish rapport, quickly build credibility, and engage in executive-level partnerships
- Direct work experience in customer-facing roles, such as Sales or Client Services
- Experience supporting employees and teams in other countries, primarily the UK and Europe
- Deep experience in employment law and compliance
