Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Contracts & Operations with Unanet expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire contract lifecycle, as well as overseeing the company's financial and operational performance. The Director of Contracts will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with company policies and procedures and that financial and operational targets are met.

• Negotiate terms and conditions with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Partners with the CEO (Visionary) on short and long-term planning.
• Develop and implement procedures, databases, costs/bills tracking tools to ensure full accounting of all funding expenditures.
• Develop and implement contractual and operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Confirm adherence to FAR, DFAR, DCAA, TINA, CAS and corporate policies and procedures, and compliance with, Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFQ) instructions, regarding cost proposal preparation, review, submission, and negotiation.
• Provide oversight of subcontract management activities.
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Effectively collaborates with the CEO (Visionary) to always remain aligned. Maintains a high level of mutual respect with the CEO. Realizes the unique contributions and ideas that the CEO has and possesses an ability to filter and translate those ideas into functional plans for the company.
• Oversee maintenance of contractual records for compliance and audit readiness.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Manage contract modifications, extensions, and amendments with coordination from the assigned PM.
• Oversee Estimate of Completions (EACs) and profit impacts.
• Oversee the management of contracts in Unanet.
• Confirms that all key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the organization. Inherently ensures that everyone is in the know. Verifies that a high level of effective communication exists throughout the organization.
• Lead the Contracts, Operations, and Finance teams and manage the contract lifecycle from proposal development to contract closeout.
• Provide financial leadership and oversee financials for various federal contract types including Firm Fixed Price, T&M, and CPFF/CPAF, monitoring for accuracy and compliance with requirements.
• Manage the company's financial and operational performance,
• Assist in the creation of basis of estimate (BOE) on large proposals; train engagement team personnel to create a thorough BOE.
• Provide guidance to cross-functional teams on contractual matters, financial performance, and operations management.
• Dependably demonstrates a relentless obsession with values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity.

Qualifications And Skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with cost estimation and cost performance tracking using Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• A “player-coach” who can both manage teams and get into the weeds when necessary.
• Highly analytical; able to make data-driven decisions and establish effective metrics.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience in a small to medium sized companies.
• FAR accounting experience.
• 2+ years of experience in contract management, finance, and operations, including experience in government contracting.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• DCAA audit experience
• Experience with Unanet is required.
