Position Overview: The Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and excellence within the company. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this leadership position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Supply Chain, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Inventory Management functions. The ideal candidate will bring industry experience, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to enhance the operational processes, supply chain management, and overall organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Taking responsibility for all inventory counts and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality systems regulations.
• Overseeing warehouse operations to maintain accurate inventory control and timely order fulfillment, optimizing storage, picking, packing, and shipping procedures.
• Driving a lean culture to maintain competitiveness in the medical device market, while effectively managing budgets and resources.
• Implementing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuous product availability, while fostering strong relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Performing other duties as assigned from time to time, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.
• Analyzing internal inventory levels and developing efficient inventory forecasting systems within budget constraints.
• Providing strategic and hands-on leadership to drive distribution, quality, and regulatory excellence within the organization.
• Developing and implementing training processes for new Operations employees to ensure a skilled and capable workforce.
• Working closely with the finance team to identify cost-saving opportunities and increase operational efficiency.
• Utilizing key metrics to measure and manage operational performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Developing and executing strategic plans to optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution of medical devices.
• Coordinating with logistics partners to optimize transportation and distribution processes, supporting sales objectives and forecasting purchasing needs.
• Negotiating with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions for materials and components.
• Managing and mentoring a team of operations professionals, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs, to streamline operations and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Identifying areas for operational and process improvements, collaborating closely with manufacturing, purchasing, regulatory, and engineering teams.
• Managing logistics to optimize product flow and maximize department productivity, contributing to improved corporate results.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Sales teams.
• 7-10 years of progressive experience in operations management within the medical device industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and strategic mindset.
• Bachelor's degree
• Proven track record of successfully managing supply chain, warehouse, purchasing, and inventory functions.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of medical device manufacturing processes, regulations, and quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, drive operational efficiencies, and optimize inventory management.
