Operations Director – Ft Lauderdale – Florida
Unique opportunity to join this rapidly expanding Sustainable Energy business as they seek to further develop their footprint across the US.
Our client is backed by an ESG Focused Fund Manager, one that is focused on playing their part within the Global Sustainability revolution.
As the firm continues to build out their new strategy, they are keen to bring in a bright, enthusiastic and driven Operations Director who can focus on Supply Chain, Procurement, Internal and External Maintenance teams with a strong Project Management/Program Management background and understanding key to the success of the role.
Some of the main duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Operational oversight of Procurement department which has direct reporting line to Finance, and dotted line to Operations Director
- Lead after-sales customer service to achieve customer satisfaction and manage down the number of site visits required
- Structure and drive the maintenance works order programming to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Manage the Installation, Maintenance, Engineering and Warehouse teams
- Contract wins
- Quality control of audits to ensure the installation is carried out properly and that can plan effectively and accurately for routine maintenance on the installed products
- Overseeing management of supply chain relationships with suppliers
- Regular reporting on operational performance to the Board
- Programme management of installation projects
- Ensure that installation projects balance efficient delivery today whilst minimising long term maintenance costs
- Responsible for all operational processes and using them to drive efficiency
- Support the CEO and the Sales team to ensure an efficient and realistic level of costs are allowed for in new contract wins
- Working with Finance to provide management with contract level financial reports
- Management of the installation supply chain, including work allocation
- Plan strategically with the sales and procurement teams to ensure the efficient roll out of new
The ideal candidate will have a gained at least 3 years’ experience at an Operations Director Level or Equivalent with at least 10 plus years’ experience all together.
A background across the Energy and Lighting Industry would certainly be a positive coupled with excellent understanding of Supply Chain Management, Procurement, large Scale Project Management & Installation as well as possessing excellent communication skills to ensure delivery of all projects on time and on budget.
